This series of vases emphasize the three pillars of ancient Indian design: Beauty, Spirituality and the Human Hand. Perfectly elegant shapes are made seemingly imperfect, by subtracting from it. Inspired by the ancient Indian idea of ‘shoonya’ – meaning nothingness, the cut-away circle here is symbolic of the value of ‘everything’ in the ‘nothing’.
